During the incident, an ATM was stolen between 4 to 5 a.m. The business posted a video showing shattered glass and overturned furniture. The general manager thanked the public for the outpouring of support, and said the restaurant was not open at the time and no one was injured. The game room is closed, but the pub remains open for business. Home Invasion Suspect Arrested After Attacking Homeowners in Des Moines 2025-03-02 A suspect is off the streets after two people said he attacked them inside their Des Moines home early Friday morning. Officers responded to a 911 call at 6:47 a.m. after a report that a man had entered a home and pistol-whipped two adults. Two children were inside the residence but were not harmed. The victims told police they had hired the suspect, F., for construction work, and the attack appeared random and unprovoked. F. drove off, ditched his car nearby, and ran away. Law enforcement agencies launched an extensive search but could not find him initially. On Saturday, Des Moines PD, working with Bonney Lake PD and Sumner PD, found and arrested the suspect. Weather Severe Weather Expected in Iowa This Week 2025-03-02 Iowa is expected to have a variety of precipitation this week due to a large weather system coming in on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Rain and thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday, and on Tuesday night and into Wednesday the system should transition into snow. Strong winds are expected Tuesday night with gusts ranging from 40 to 50 mph or even higher, which could lead to blowing snow.
