Joann, believe me, I'm kicking myself for missing this and not helping you sooner — perhaps especially when November 17th rolled around and I didn't get this critical information to you! But there's no time now to lament on past mistakes. We need to clear the air around you...

Of course, it WOULD be so easy to wallow in the irony of it all. Anything to avoid actually having to face this serious issue "head-on."

But that's exactly the course of action that must be taken. You've been sitting in the "dark" for far too long.

What kind of adviser, scratch that, what kind of friend, would I be if I didn't give you adequate notice to repair some of the damages? To alleviate some of the stress and pressure you're under? I know that not all your wounds can (Or will be!) healed but, please, allow me to at least give you something that you haven't had in a long time: Chance.
