Stabbing Incident in Ames Leaves Three Injured 2024-11-09A stabbing incident in Ames left three people injured on Friday evening. Police were called to the 3700 block of Tripp Street, near the west Hy-Vee, around 5:30 p.m. Friday. Officers found a crime scene in the street and two victims nearby. The first two victims were transported by ambulance to Mary Greeley Medical Center. Another victim arrived at the hospital a short while later. Two of the victims remain hospitalized in unknown conditions and one victim was transferred to MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. The investigation is ongoing and a suspect has not yet been arrested. Ames Police said in a news release on Saturday that investigators believe everyone involved in the stabbing knew each other and that there is not an ongoing threat to the public.
