The Polk County Sheriff's Office says one person was shot in the arm during a road rage incident on Friday night in Des Moines. Both the shooter and the victim have been taken into custody. The injury is not life-threatening.

Suspect Charged with Murder in Des Moines Shooting 2024-11-02

24-year-old H. S. has been charged with murder in the first-degree, attempted murder and intimidation with a dangerous weapon after a shooting in a northern Des Moines residence on Friday night. An adult man and an adult woman were discovered with gunshot wounds and transported to the hospital, where the female victim later died. The male victim remains in serious condition.
