The 36-year-old man, whose name was not provided, was wanted on unspecified warrants when police responded to a report of his sighting at a residence. After the man entered the home, police helped another occupant leave and then began searching the residence. An officer reported the man said he had a gun, and seconds later, two officers fired their weapons, wounding the suspect. The Iowa Department of Public Safety's Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
