He then entered the room in which S. Propps and another person were staying. Investigators say Propps fired shots in self-defense, and Carmody then returned fire, killing Propps. Dontay Diekman, 41, of Fort Dodge, was arrested Friday at a residence in the 1500 block of 20th Place in Des Moines. Diekman is the suspect of a shooting on March 28. In that incident, a male with a gunshot wound to the face was taken by ambulance to a Fort Dodge-area hospital. Arrest warrants were issued for Diekman for charges of attempted murder, going armed with intent and possession of a firearm as a felon. According to prosecutors, Johnson saw Loffredo walking in Des Moines on July 27, 2024, and planned to approach her. He yelled at her to 'come get high' with him, and when she responded, 'Who are you? Never mind, f--- off,' he felt disrespected and admitted he fired a handgun four times from his SUV, claiming he fired at the ground to frighten her. Two days later, Loffredo died of her injuries. |
