An Iowa City man, Anthony Wyatt, is accused of taking off his pants and lying on top of someone in the Des Moines skywalk. Wyatt is charged with assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and public intoxication. The victim was lying face down on the ground when the alleged assault happened, and they woke up and ran from Wyatt. Wyatt is accused of chasing the victim before skywalk security intervened. The incident was caught on security footage, and Wyatt is expected in court later this month.

Drake guard Isaia Howard, a 6' 5' guard who spent one season in Des Moines, has become the fourth Bulldog player to join new Iowa Head Coach Ben McCollum in Iowa City. Howard was ranked as the tenth best recruit from the state of Missouri in 2024 by 24/7 sports. In his freshman season with the Bulldogs, Howard averaged 4.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game, appearing in all 30 games off the bench.
