Crime Charges Dropped Against Man in 2024 Des Moines Roosevelt Graduation Incident 2025-06-25 The Polk County Attorney is dropping all charges against Bradwick Tukes related to an incident at Des Moines Roosevelt's high school graduation last year. Investigators had accused Tukes of being involved in a fight that led to shots being fired outside the Knapp Center. Crime Waukee Man Charged After Threatening to 'Shoot Up' West Des Moines Hospital 2025-06-25 A Waukee man named Tyler Jay Marvelli is charged with harassment and threat of terrorism after allegedly threatening to carry out a shooting at Methodist West Hospital in West Des Moines. Marvelli was a patient at the hospital on Tuesday, and when staff didn't give him the treatment he wanted, he told a nurse he would have to leave, get a gun, and come back to 'shoot the place up.' The nurse called security, and police later arrested Marvelli, who is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail on $10,000 bond.
